Susan J. Bartlett, PhD, is a tenured Professor of Medicine at McGill University and Senior Researcher at The Institute, McGill University Health Centre. She has spent three decades applying behavioral science to improve chronic disease outcomes, optimizing patient engagement in research, and measuring what matters most to patients. Her expertise spans PRO development and validation, PROMIS instruments, and patient engagement in outcomes research.

Dr. Bartlett is Past President of the PROMIS Health Organization and co-leader of the OMERACT RA-Flare Working Group, helping develop flare measures used internationally in RA research. She also holds leadership roles in major patient registries including the Canadian Early Arthritis Cohort (CATCH) and Scleroderma Patient-centered Intervention Network (SPIN). She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Syracuse University and has been recognized with the American College of Rheumatology/ARP Master Designation and lifetime achievement awards from the American Thoracic Society and Arthritis Health Professionals Association.
