Dr Lungi Nyathi is a senior and versatile leader in healthcare and passionate about building sustainable and caring health systems in Africa.
She is currently the CEO of Alignd, one of the few companies that offer value-based care solutions for complex health problems. Their leading, novel product is palliative care in the oncology setting.
She has over a decade in healthcare funding, having worked as an Executive in Medscheme and AfroCentric Health, overlooking a large team and a multi-million budget. She has served on several Boards in the healthcare space, including boards of a public health care hospital, and a few non-profit organisations in South Africa and the UK. Lungi served as workstream lead for workplace vaccination programmes in South Africa during the COVID19 pandemic, as part of Business4South Africa’s collaboration with the National Department of Health.
Having mentored teams and individuals in their career journeys and having transitioned from clinical medicine to corporate and from senior corporate to a startup, while parenting and managing her own emotional transitions, Lungi is interested in helping fellow sojourners on their journey through their own life transitions.
