Nelly van Uden PhD is program manager at SDM Santeon, responsible for the three-year program “Experiment Outcome Indicators”. The objective of the program is the realization of a proof of concept for the public disclosure and use of real-world outcome data relevant to patients for shared decision making (SDM). The program aims to show the value of transparency and identify best practices on using outcomes for SDM.
Nelly obtained her MSc in Communication Science at the University of Twente (Enschede, the Netherlands). In 2008, she obtained her PhD after completing her thesis on online peer support. Currently, Nelly supervises several studies on SDM, eHealth, quality of life and patient activation
